So how do bra sizes actually work?

The most common misconception is how cup sizes and band sizes work together. Did you know that the volume of the cup actually changes with the band size. The following cups are the same size: 8F, 10E, 12DD, 14D. Confused? When the band size changes the cup size changes with it. For example, if you are a 12D and the cup size feels right but the band is too loose you would need to try a 10DD. If you tried a 10D, the cup size would be reduced with the band so it would be too small.
