Have you recently opened your beloved lingerie drawer only to notice a few bras have barely been worn? Perhaps they were the wrong size, colour or style, or maybe (like many of us) you rotate between your top three favourite bras and they just have never quite made the shortlist.
This March, we are inviting you to bring in your gently loved, barely worn, bras into a Brava store so they can be rehomed. We are donating all gently loved bras to three fantastic charities, Uplift Project, Fitted for Work and Caroline Chisholm Society so that they can be given to women who need them. In light of International Women’s Day, we want to do what we can to support and empower women who are disadvantaged and/or facing difficulties. We would love for you to join us!
|Fitted For Work equips disadvantaged women with the necessary skills, confidence and empowerment to seek meaningful, long term employment. By building confidence, self-esteem, skills, and knowledge, they encourage women to obtain work through a range of pre-and post-employment programs and services that are delivered nationally.||Uplift Bras provide bras to women living in disadvantaged communities where a bra is often unobtainable or unaffordable. Women feel a tremendous obligation to meet the needs of their families first and for many women in these communities, purchasing themselves a bra can be seen as an unforgivable sin. The women who receive bras have often never owned a bra, or they have had poor experiences with the limited styles and sizes accessible in the Pacific Islands, with no access to maternity and mastectomy bras at all.||Caroline Chisholm Society offers support from the moment a woman learns of her pregnancy to the time her youngest child goes to school. They help women and their families to create a safe and nurturing environment for their children through a range of support services.|
Simply bring in your previously loved bras and receive a $2 credit for each bra. You can then choose whether you would like to donate this money, or put it towards a new bra! Not sure if your bra is in good enough condition? Follow the guidelines below:
