I once wore a strapless bra to a family wedding under my favourite halter dress. I felt fabulous, like movie-star fabulous. After a champagne or three, I jumped with gusto to catch the bride's bouquet and in the blink of eye (or in my case, the click of a gazillion embarrassing photos) my strapless bra flipped down over my stomach. Yes, it is possible. Yes, I did do an elegant canter to the ladies' room to adjust myself (and then sat in the corner to eat cake for the rest of the night). Yes, I kicked that bra to the curb as soon as I got home! But I couldn't help but feel upset about the fact that my bra had put me in the corner all night... nobody puts baby in the corner! Just because my cups runneth over, why should I be destined to never be seen in strapless, halter or backless dresses or to sit in the corner all night?
Since that fateful day, I'm happy to report that a friend introduced me to my saviour of the strapless bra world (Fantasie's Smoothing Moulded Strapless Bra) and I've regained faith in the strapless bra and its ability to securely hold my G cup bust. I've even found a couple of other strapless bras that hold me up comfortably, without having to be pulled up every five minutes.

Let's face it, you're probably reading this post because you need a strapless bra and you just want someone to tell you which one is best for larger cup sizes. So we've put together our top 5 strapless bra recommendations for larger cup sizes:
Colours: Nude and black
Why we love it: Totally seam-free and smooth under even the softest of fabrics. It's plunging cup is perfect for wearing under low-cut dresses or tops.
Similar styles: Freya Deco Darling Strapless Bra.
Colours: Ivory and black
Why we love it: It goes up to a HH cup! The boning in the cup gives the bust a great lift, and the silicon around the bottom of the band prevents the bra from slipping. It also has 4 hooks to give a smoother finish at the back. You can wear it with straps, as a halter, or as cross-over for extra support.
Colours: Nude and black
Why we love it: This is one of our favourite strapless bras for D - G cups, and a bestseller at Brava. It rarely fails us. Its a great shape and stays put. We love it.
Colours: Venus (pink/ivory)
Why we love it: The colour is perfect if you're looking for something not quite nude, not quite ivory, and not quite white! The bandeau line creates a sexy low-neckline, and the elegant lace and pearl touches are lovely.
Colours: Black and nude
Why we love it: The design features flexible, moulded cups with a really thin top cup edge for a smooth look. The Koko features a deep plunge that makes it versatile for low plunging dresses and tops. Can be worn with normal straps, strapless, halter or as a cross-back.
