How do I convert my bra size to Australian sizing?

Use the converter above: choose the country your size is in, pick your size, and we’ll show the Australian equivalent along with UK, European, French and US. Australian band numbers run 22 below UK bands, while the cup letter stays the same.

How do Australian and UK bra sizes differ?

The cups match; the band numbers don’t. An Australian band is 22 lower than the UK band — Australian 12 = UK 34, Australian 14 = UK 36. European and French sizing use centimetre-based band numbers instead.

What is a sister size?

A sister size is the same cup volume in a neighbouring band — down a band and up a cup, or up a band and down a cup — handy when the band feels wrong but the cups are right. Our sister sizing guide walks through it.

Why doesn’t Brava use a tape measure?

A tape gives you a number, not a fit. Band tension, breast tissue and the way each bra is constructed all change how a size sits, so our fitters assess fit on the body. This chart is for converting a size you already know — if you’re unsure of yours, ZoomFit or the Virtual Fitter can help.

Why does US sizing look different?

US sizing adds a third “D” (DDD) where UK, Australian and European sizing use an F cup, and the cups don’t line up exactly one to one — so the converter shows the closest US equivalent.

What sizes does Brava carry?

D through KK cups across bands 6 to 24 — the fuller-bust range most retailers don’t stock properly. Find your Australian size above, then shop your cup.

Why we don't use a tape measure

Australian bra size chart with international conversions

The chart above covers Australian (AUS), United Kingdom (UK), European (EUR), French (FR) and American (USA) bra sizes. AUS and UK band numbers use different conventions, but cup letters mostly align. EUR and FR use centimetre-based band numbers. US sizing uses the UK band number with American cup conventions (which add a third "D" — DDD — instead of the F cup used everywhere else).

As a rule, your cup letter stays the same and your Australian band sits 22 below the UK band — so a UK 34DD is an Australian 12DD, and a UK 36E is an Australian 14E. European and French sizes use centimetre-based bands instead. Use the converter above to check any size instantly.
