Supporting and celebrating all women!

With International Women’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to think about how we can make a difference, whether it be big or small. ‘Each for Equal’ this year’s official theme for International Women’s Day draws upon the idea of Collective Individualism’ - the notion that our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on a larger scale. This theme is a wonderful reminder to us all that every little thing we do to make a positive impact, counts.

Our team at Brava is truly passionate about supporting and empowering women. All women. We are indebted to doing what we can, big or small, to help women feel comfortable, inspired, empowered, included, respected. This attitude trickles down to everything we do; whether it’s creating a comfortable space in-store for women, building an inspiring platform online that showcases inclusivity and body positivity, or supporting charities and working alongside them when we can.

Of course, we would love to do more, but we will continue to do what we can when we can. This International Women’s Day we are inviting all women to bring in gently loved bras they no longer need. We will be donating these bras to three fantastic charities, Uplift Project, Fitted for Work and Caroline Chisholm Society so that they can be given to women who need them. Each charity has a tremendous cause, all working to provide women with bras that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise.

We often take for granted the little things in life - like a bra. Generally, the first thing we put on in the morning is a bra; it provides us with comfort, support, the ability to move and the confidence to exercise. We often forget that there are so many women who don’t have access to a bra, and honestly, it’s pretty hard to imagine life without a bra. Let’s work together this March and donate as many pre-loved bras as we can in order to provide women with items they deserve. To find out about our Declutter & Donate campaign follow this link!
