RAQ was created in 2018 by Sophia Argyropoulos with a specific fitting problem in mind: bra-sized swimwear for women with a small band and a larger cup. The conventional swimwear market largely ignores this combination — and even within bra-sized swimwear, many brands focus on the 12–20 band range where larger cup sizes are most common. RAQ fills a genuine gap at 8–14 band and D–H cup.
The RAQ design approach
RAQ bikini tops are underwired with boning for additional support — a construction choice that suits active water use more than most swimwear. The double-strap halter tie provides adjustability for different torso lengths and shoulder positions. The fit philosophy is minimalist rather than heavily structured: the Multi-Way Bikini Top offers versatile strap configurations while maintaining underwire support, and the Underwire Crop is a strong option for women who want a more sporty silhouette.
Colourways are released in seasonal drops and are designed to mix and match across the range — tops and briefs are sold separately, which allows women with different hip and bust sizes to size each piece independently. RAQ uses sustainable and recycled fabrics where possible.
