When to use a bra extender
Bra band extenders solve one specific problem: the band fits everywhere except that it's pressing in too tight. That happens during pregnancy as the ribcage expands, with bloating, after a meal, or between laundry cycles when a favourite bra has started to tighten. An extender adds extra length to the band, and it's a cheaper, less frustrating solution than replacing the bra.
What to match
The most important thing with an extender is matching the hook count to the bra — 2-hook extender for a 2-hook band, 3-hook for 3-hook, and so on.
